The Labconco 700401000 FreeZone 4.5L -50°C Benchtop Freeze Dryer provides a compact, complete solution for lyophilization of light to moderate sample loads. Its stainless steel collector and upright coil provide a 4.5-liter ice capacity and reach temperatures down to -50°C, making the system well suited for aqueous samples and general-purpose laboratory freeze-drying applications. The benchtop configuration delivers useful processing capability while conserving valuable laboratory space.
The integrated Lyo-Works OS provides operation through a full-color 5 in. touchscreen, allowing users to monitor collector temperature and vacuum conditions throughout the freeze-drying process. Built-in safeguards include moisture detection, vacuum leak protection, and a vacuum break valve that helps protect the vacuum pump during power interruptions. Vacuum control helps maintain the selected vacuum level, while integrated data logging provides useful process information for monitoring runs and sample conditions.
This new, unused open-box system is configured with an Edwards RV5 vacuum pump, 12-port drying chamber, and vacuum tubing and connections. The combination of the FreeZone benchtop freeze dryer, multi-port drying chamber, and dedicated vacuum pump provides a versatile package for routine laboratory lyophilization.
