The Ohaus PX224 Pioneer PX Analytical Balance provides precise weighing performance for routine laboratory, industrial, and educational applications. With a 220 g maximum capacity and 0.1 mg readability, the PX224 is suited for applications requiring accurate measurement of small sample quantities. Typical repeatability of 0.0001 g and a stabilization time of approximately three seconds help support efficient, consistent weighing throughout daily workflows.

A backlit two line LCD provides clear weight readings along with additional operating information for straightforward use. USB and RS232 communication interfaces allow weighing data to be transferred to compatible external devices, while the stainless steel weighing pan and cast metal housing provide a durable platform for regular laboratory use. The balance also includes a draftshield to help protect the weighing area and instrument during operation.

• Inspect all internal wiring and electrical connections for secure attachment and check for any loose connections or damaged connectors
• Check power cord integrity, ensuring there are no frays, cuts, or damage affecting function or safety
• Execute internal or external calibration to confirm accuracy of weighing measurements
• Review cosmetic condition, confirming no visible damage or wear that affects functionality
• Verify successful taring of the weighing pan to zero out prior measurements accurately
• Ensure RS232/printer communication functions correctly, validating connection and data transmission (if applicable)
