Balance Inspection and Recertification Checklist
- Verify power supply output for precise voltage delivery in accordance with equipment specifications
- Assess full functionality of display and control buttons, replacing any defective or deteriorating components as necessary
- Confirm balance is properly leveled to ensure measurement accuracy and stability
- Examine windscreen glass for cracks or chips, replacing if structural integrity is compromised
- Inspect all internal wiring and electrical connections for secure attachment and check for any loose connections or damaged connectors
- Check power cord integrity, ensuring there are no frays, cuts, or damage affecting function or safety
- Execute internal or external calibration to confirm accuracy of weighing measurements
- Review cosmetic condition, confirming no visible damage or wear that affects functionality
- Verify successful taring of the weighing pan to zero out prior measurements accurately
- Ensure RS232/printer communication functions correctly, validating connection and data transmission (if applicable)
