The Agilent 1290 Infinity II HPLC G7117B Diode Array Detector (DAD) is a high-performance detector designed to deliver exceptional sensitivity, accuracy, and reliability for liquid chromatography applications. Featuring a 1024-element diode array and advanced Max-Light cartridge flow cell technology, the G7117B utilizes optofluidic waveguides to achieve nearly 100% light transmission while minimizing peak dispersion. This advanced optical design reduces the effects of refractive index changes and temperature fluctuations, resulting in lower baseline noise and drift for more accurate peak integration and consistent analytical results.
The G7117B provides a broad wavelength range of 190–640 nm with simultaneous monitoring of up to eight signals and full spectral acquisition at sampling rates up to 240 Hz, making it well suited for both conventional HPLC and fast chromatographic separations. Programmable slit widths of 1, 2, 4, and 8 nm allow users to optimize sensitivity, linearity, and spectral resolution according to their analytical requirements. The detector features a standard 10 mm Max-Light cartridge flow cell designed for high light transmission and minimal dispersion, along with second-generation electronic temperature control to maintain optical stability.
Additional features include RFID tracking of the flow cell and UV lamp, early maintenance feedback for monitoring instrument usage, and integrated leak detection with automatic shutdown signaling for improved operational safety and reliability. These advanced monitoring and diagnostic capabilities help simplify maintenance, minimize downtime, and support consistent performance across demanding analytical workflows.
