VWR Forced Air Incubator, Cat. #: 89511-428
The VWR Forced Air Incubator, Cat. #: 89511-428 features a unique state-of-the-art design that delivers a true fan-circulated convection while offering improved temperature uniformity for a wide range of general-purpose incubation applications. The forced air mechanical convection design enables fast drying through the use of a blower that circulates heated air in a horizontal airflow pattern. This incubator is extremely versatile, offering a wide temperature range from Ambient +5C to 75C with a uniformity of ± 0.4C at 3°C. A standard access port is also featured for monitoring and/or the use of electrical equipment inside of the unit. An internal glass door also allows viewing of samples without disruption. This Cat. #: 89511-428 model features a chamber volume of 6.3 cu. ft. (178.4L).
This forced air incubator features PID control that is easy to use, and has a large display for optimal feedback to the operator. The integrated timer function allows users to turn the incubator on and off at a desired time. An overtemperature alarm and a dual sensor safety concept are also integrated to provide peace of mind. For data monitoring, the unit can be connected via a standard RS-232 interface to a computer. Cleaning is also simple due to the stainless steel interior with smooth, rounded corners.
All of our equipment is fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.

- Inspect the display for any dim, flickering, or dead pixels, replacing any affected areas to maintain full readability and operational clarity
- Thoroughly examine external regulators for any signs of damage, wear, or malfunction (if applicable), replacing any compromised parts
- Inspect temperature, CO₂, and H₂O sensors (if applicable), ensuring each sensor is functioning correctly and accurately reporting conditions
- Conduct a detailed inspection of all internal wiring for frays, tears, or breakages; replace any compromised wires to ensure safe and reliable connections
- Verify that software settings align with the internal components and calibration specifications, adjusting configurations as needed for accurate operation
- Inspect and clean the fan, ensuring it is free from dust or obstructions; replace if performance is below required standards
- Examine wheels and leveling mounts for structural integrity, ensuring proper balance and stability for safe operation
- Inspect door gaskets and latches for any signs of wear or damage, replacing if necessary to maintain a secure seal and optimal environmental control
- Calibrate temperature accuracy at 37°C using a NIST-traceable probe, confirming it meets required tolerances
- Calibrate CO₂ level to 5% using a Fyrite combustion test kit (if applicable), ensuring precise atmospheric conditions
- Monitor temperature and CO₂ stability over a 24-hour period, verifying consistent operation within specified ranges
- Conduct a thorough cosmetic inspection to confirm all external surfaces and components meet quality standards, free from visible damage or wear
