The Thermo Sorvall Legend XT Benchtop Centrifuge offers a
max speed of 15,200 rotations per minute and a max RCF of 24,400 x g. The onboard LCD display makes reading run information simple and
allows for easy parameter entry as well. The timer has a maximum run time of 99
hours and 59 minutes, but also allows for a continuous run mode to allow for an
unlimited run time. Auto-lock rotor system and one-touch lid closure both allow for easy use and save time between applications. Low noise level of 61
dBA makes the Sorvall Legend XT perfect for both small and large laboratories.

- Inspect and lubricate the door lock mechanism, applying grease to the lid lock rail for smooth operation
- Test compressor functionality (if applicable) to ensure proper operation and consistent temperature control
- Conduct an 8-12 hour cycle test to validate consistent performance over prolonged use
- Confirm rotor motor stability, check for unusual noise, and assess mechanical integrity during operation
- Inspect the condensation drain and clear any clogs to prevent moisture buildup in the rotor chamber
- Verify RPM accuracy using an NIST-traceable tachometer and perform calibration as necessary
- Check the centrifuge error log to ensure zero recorded issues, confirming system reliability
