Thermo Scientific Sorvall X4R Pro-MD Refrigerated Centrifuge
The Thermo Scientific Sorvall X4R Pro-MD Refrigerated Centrifuge is a high-capacity and versatile benchtop centrifuge that offers consistent performance and is ideal for routine applications. This unit comes standard with an easy-to-use full color intuitive touch screen for fast programming, centrifuge health monitoring and storage for up to 100 programs. The intuitive touch screen simplifies operation and provides detailed information including display of set and actual parameters, temperature accuracy for improved sample protection, and more. A double temperature management system displays the air temperature in the chamber as well as the sample temperature, ensuring accurate control of the sample temperature during the run. The modern industrial design incorporated into this centrifuge supports continuous improvement in rotor loading ergonomics, user safety and current needed certifications. A motorized lid latch is featured, enabling one finger downward motions for easiest closing and locking of the centrifuge lid, even on tall benches.
This centrifuge also utilizes Thermo Scientific’s Auto-Lock™ III Rotor System, which is a secure locking system that allows easy push-button installation and exchange of rotors. This system saves time when switching between applications and provides easy access to the rotor chamber offering quick cleaning, a healthier working environment, and longer unit life. Also featured is Thermo Scientific’s SMARTSpin™ Technology, which is an advanced rotor management system that maximizes acceleration, braking, and residual load imbalance for each rotor and bucket option, optimizing safety and improving separations. The X4R Pro-MD Refrigerated Centrifuge is also designed to save up to 40% of energy on industry standard protocols such as blood separations or conical tube processing while still providing unmatched performance and versatility. We may have different adapters available depending on the rotor chosen with this centrifuge. If the selected rotor includes adapters that will not work for your application, please inquire. All of our equipment is in excellent condition and will be fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
Please confirm the selected rotor meets your application needs and request a different rotor, if necessary. Available rotors can be found in our Rotor Compatibility Guide.
