The Thermo Scientific ST1R Plus-MD Refrigerated Centrifuge is a state-of-the-art laboratory instrument designed for optimal performance in routine applications. Featuring an easy-to-use keypad and a high-contrast LCD display, this centrifuge simplifies operation and provides detailed information about a variety of operating parameters. Its compact design, with a capacity of up to 1.6L, allows for a maximum speed of 15,200 RPM and a maximum RCF of 25,830 x g. This refrigerated centrifuge also allows for temperature control from -10°C to 40°C. Key to its functionality is the Thermo Scientific Auto-Lock™ III Rotor System, which offers a secure locking system for easy rotor exchange, and the ClickSeal Bucket Sealing System, providing a biocontainment solution that's easy to handle, even with gloves. The centrifuge's SMARTSpin Technology optimizes acceleration, braking, and load imbalance, enhancing safety and separation quality.
The ST1R Plus-MD is designed with user convenience in mind. Its motorized lid latch allows for effortless closing and locking, and the system's ergonomic design supports efficient rotor loading and user safety. The compact dimensions also save valuable lab space, while the curved design ensures easy sample loading, unloading, and cleaning. Energy efficiency is another hallmark of this centrifuge, offering up to 40% energy savings on standard protocols. Additional features include a timer with up to 9 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds, 9 acceleration rates, 10 deceleration rates, and compatibility with 15 different rotors. The centrifuge's drive system is a direct, brushless induction low profile, and it includes push-button controls with a high contrast LED interface, capable of storing up to 6 programs. This combination of features and design makes the Thermo Scientific ST1R Plus-MD Refrigerated Centrifuge a highly efficient and user-friendly choice for modern laboratories. We may have different adapters available depending on the rotor chosen with this centrifuge. If the selected rotor includes adapters that will not work for your application, please inquire. All of our equipment is in excellent condition and will be fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
Please confirm the selected rotor meets your application needs and request a different rotor, if necessary. Available rotors can be found in our Rotor Compatibility Guide.
