The Molecular Devices SpectraMax M5 is a multi-mode plate reader that delivers single mode reader performance with five preferred detection modes for a wide range of applications. The dual monochromator optics allow the widest range of applications to be utilized for bioresearch and drug discovery applications, all without the need to change filters. The SpectraMax M5 possesses five preferred modes for multiple detection benefits in one platform: UV-Visible Absorbance (Abs), Fluorescence Intensity (FI), Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF), Fluorescence Polarization (FP), Luminescence (Lumi).
Applications include endpoint, kinetic, spectrum, and multi-point well-scanning combining absorbance and fluorescence in 6-well to 384-well microplates, as well as endpoint, kinetic, and spectrum applications in absorbance and fluorescence using cuvettes, can be run with little to no optimization. For use within biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, and microbiology. Typical applications include ELISA, nucleic acid, protein, enzymatic type homogenous and heterogeneous assays, microbial growth, endotoxin testing, and pipettor calibration.
