Labconco Refrigerated CentriVap Vacuum Concentrator System w/ -84C Cold Trap
The Labconco Refrigerated CentriVap Vacuum Concentrator System w/ -84C Cold Trap is designed to rapidly concentrate multiple small heat-sensitive samples, such as RNA and proteins, using centrifugal force, vacuum, and controlled temperature. This concentrator combines a refrigeration system that cools to -4°C, with a heater that warms to 100°C to achieve the users desired set point temperature. Centrifugation removes bumping and foaming as vacuum is applied while also concentrating the solute within the vial, allowing recovery of solutes from volumes as low as a few microliters. A timed outlet for the vacuum pump connection delays the start of the vacuum pump until the rotor reaches optimal operating speed. Equipped with a safety switch the Labconco Refrigerated CentriVap Concentrator prevents the lid from being opened while the rotor is in operation. The compact, space saving design allows the system to be operable on a benchtop or other laboratory work surface. The microprocessor, which controls the operation of the heater and the motor, provides excellent regulation and reproducibility of protocols. The memory has capability to store up to nine different protocols so exact test factors can be easily repeated. The included CentriVap Cold Trap reaches -84°C, which is designed for solvent sample applications and protects the vacuum pump by trapping moisture, vapors and corrosive fumes as they evaporate from the samples. All of our equipment is fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.

- Inspect the display panel, replacing any dim or dead pixels to ensure clear visual feedback
- Verify full functionality of all buttons, confirming consistent responsiveness
- Examine the acrylic or glass lid for any cracks or chips, ensuring safety and integrity
- Check the vacuum chamber seal for any tears or cracks that could impact pressure retention
- Test chamber lid functionality, confirming all micro switches report a consistent .04 Ohms
- Verify external connections to the pump or cold trap, ensuring they are properly sealed and leak-free
- Inspect and clean the internal fan and condenser (if applicable) for efficient cooling and airflow
- Examine all internal wiring for frays or breakages, confirming secure and intact connections
- Test motor functionality, replacing motor or bearings if performance is compromised
- Inspect internal pump seals, replacing any worn or damaged seals to maintain vacuum integrity
- Inspect all internal hoses for potential leaks, ensuring tight, clean seals
- Confirm unit is capable of achieving all manufacturer-specified temperature ranges
- Verify the unit can reach specified vacuum levels in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Conduct a 6-8 hour cycle test to confirm consistent operational performance
