Labconco CentriVap Complete Vacuum Concentrator
The Labconco CentriVap Complete Vacuum Concentrator (Catalog #: 7315022) is designed to rapidly evaporate and condense solvents from biological and analytical samples from the use of centrifugal force combined with heat and vacuum. The CentriVap Complete system combines a concentrator, cold trap, and a vacuum pump in one cabinet. Centrifugation removes bumping and foaming as vacuum is applied while also concentrating the solute within the vial, allowing recovery of solutes from volumes as low as a few microliters. The concentrator is also equipped with a 300 watt heater to speed evaporation by warming the chamber during processing. A timed outlet for the vacuum pump connection delays the start of the vacuum pump until the rotor reaches optimal operating speed. As an integral part of the CentriVap Complete system, the cold trap can be used to trap moisture, vapors, and corrosive fumes as they evaporate from the samples.
Equipped with a safety switch the Labconco CentriVap Complete Vacuum Concentrator prevents the lid from being opened while the rotor is in operation. The CentriZap strobe light is also included, which allows you to safely view the samples while the unit is running, without stopping the rotor and lifting the lid to check dryness. The compact, space saving design allows the system to be operable on a benchtop or other laboratory work surface. The microprocessor, which controls the operation of the heater
and the motor, provides excellent regulation and reproducibility of protocols. The memory has capability to store up to nine different protocols so exact test factors can be
easily repeated.
All of our equipment is fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
