Invitrogen iBlot Gel Transfer System
The Invitrogen iBlot Gel Transfer System is a dry blotting solution designed for fast, reliable protein and nucleic acid transfer. Combining the iBlot Gel Transfer Device with iBlot Transfer Stacks (sold separately), it offers exceptional efficiency using patented gel matrix technology. This technology minimizes the distance between electrodes, delivering high field strength and current to significantly reduce transfer times. Proteins can be transferred from midi- or mini-sized polyacrylamide gels onto nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes within just 7 minutes using the iBlot Gel Transfer Stacks. DNA can be efficiently transferred from agarose or TBE polyacrylamide gels onto nylon membranes with the iBlot DNA Transfer Stacks. The system also supports chemiluminescent or chromogenic western detection in 7 to 8 minutes using the iBlot Western Detection Stacks.
Pre-programmed with 10 protocols, the iBlot Gel Transfer Device is compatible with a variety of gel types, including NuPAGE Bis-Tris, Tris-Acetate, Tris-Glycine, Tricine, and E-PAGE gels. Its integrated power supply eliminates the need for external power sources, ensuring consistency and ease of use. Built-in safety features enhance user protection, while the digital display allows precise control of transfer conditions. Each iBlot Transfer Stack includes integrated membranes and electrodes, simplifying setup by removing the need for buffer preparation. Ideal for researchers needing rapid and reproducible protein or DNA transfers, the iBlot Gel Transfer System streamlines workflows for western blotting and nucleic acid transfer.
Please Note: The appropriate type of iBlot Transfer Stack for your application is required for operation and is NOT included. iBlot Gel Transfer Stacks are used to transfer proteins from gels onto nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes; iBlot DNA Transfer Stacks are used to transfer DNA from gels onto nylon membranes; iBlot Western Detection Stacks are available for performing western detection on previously blotted nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes.All of our equipment will be fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
