IKA A11 Basic Mill
Operating Principle Cutting / Impact
- Moist and gluey materials can be pulverized by adding water
- Grinding chamber made of Tefcel (PTFE, glass fiber-reinforced) with stainless steel inlet (1.4571), useful volume 80 ml (incl. with delivery). For embrittlement of grinding materials with liquid nitrogen in the grinding chamber
- Can cool mill feed with dry ice or liquid nitrogen for processing sensitive materials
- Small footprint with high performance, ideal for laboratory use
- Processes sensitive materials by cooling with dry ice or liquid nitrogen
- Optional 250 mL grinding chamber available for larger sample volumes
The IKA A11 Basic Mill is a versatile analytical batch mill capable of precision grinding through multiple methods. It supports impact grinding for hard, brittle, or non-elastic materials with a Mohs hardness of up to 6 and can also perform cutting grinding for soft, fibrous materials when used with an appropriate blade. The grinding chamber, made from Tefcel (ETFE, glass fiber-reinforced) with a stainless steel inlet, offers a usable volume of 80 mL and accommodates grinding with or without liquid nitrogen for material embrittlement.
Compact and durable, the IKA A11 Basic Mill is powered by a motor with a 160 W input and 100 W output, delivering speeds up to 28,000 RPM and a circumferential speed of 53 m/s. Designed to process materials with a feed hardness up to 6 Mohs and grain sizes up to 10 mm, it ensures reliable, efficient performance. Its lightweight design (5 lb.) and compact dimensions (12 x 8 x 10 in.) make it an excellent addition to any lab, operating on a standard 120V electrical system.
All of our equipment is in excellent condition and will be fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
The IKA A11 Basic Mill includes:
- > Power Cord
- > Operator's Guide
- > Full 180 Day Parts and Labor Warranty
