The GE AKTA Prime Plus is a flexible chromatography system that performs single-step purifications of tagged and untagged proteins as well as antibodies. For optimal results, use prepacked columns, such as the HiTrap, HiPrep, and HiLoad columns that simply snap onto the side of the unit. The AKTA Prime Plus offers high reproducibility in a compact and easy-to-use design with pre-programmed templates.
The GE AKTA Prime Plus FPLC System is flexible for more general purification tasks, such as ion exchange, affinity chromatography, buffer exchange, HIC, and gel filtration.
PH Electrode Not Included.

AKTA Prime Plus Manual
- Inspect all displays, replacing any dim or dead pixels to ensure optimal visual feedback
- Examine internal components of P-900, UV-900/UPC-900, and pH/C-900, replacing any malfunctioning parts to maintain performance
- Verify connections of all components via Uni-Net 1 & 2 interfaces for secure and reliable communication
- Check Uni-Net cables, replacing any faulty ones to ensure uninterrupted data transmission
- Inspect internal components of M-925, INV-907, PV-908, and PV-907 to confirm full operational functionality
- Replace all PEEK tubing with new OEM tubing and inspect all components within the flow path for potential clogs
- Confirm successful software interfacing with the FPLC system for seamless operation
- Replace pump piston seals, wash seals, and seal wash tubing, performing ultrasonic cleaning on each check valve in the pump flow path
- Calibrate pressure and flow rates of both the P-900 pump and P-960/950 pump (if applicable) for precise control
- Replace UV lamp and perform internal inspection tests to confirm complete functionality
- Install a new pH probe and verify the conductivity cell for accurate readings
- Calculate and adjust delay volume in software to reflect system configuration
- Clean or replace the drop sensor, accumulator wash, and height adjuster for consistent collection performance
- Verify fraction collector alignment and calibration with 15mL, 50mL, and microplate receptacles to ensure accuracy
- Run installation tests and thoroughly document all findings for comprehensive record-keeping
