Caliper Life Sciences LabChip XT Fractionation System
The Caliper Life Sciences LabChip XT Fractionation System performs fast, automated nucleic acid fractionation accurately and reproducibly with added sample tracking and data analysis features. The resulting
sample is tightly sized and delivered in a sequencing-compatible
buffer. The LabChip XT's quantitation feature allows for each sample’s total input
concentration to be determined, along with automatic estimated concentration of the extraction region. The LabChip XT software includes extraction modes such as Fluorescence, Peak Max,
Smear Max, Skip Extraction, and Separation Only.
The LabChip XT assays are based on traditional gel
electrophoresis principles that have been transferred to a chip
format. The chip format dramatically reduces separation time and
provides automated sizing and quantitation information in a digital
format. The additional collection well on the chip allows a specified
range of nucleic acid sizes to be separated from the rest of the
sample. The LabChip XT can use either a virtual software ladder or a ladder that runs in one channel of the chip at the same time as the samples for real-time sizing of the separated nucleic acids.
The LabChip XT is fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
