Biorad ChemiDoc Touch Imaging System
The Biorad ChemiDoc Touch Imaging System is an advanced and versatile imaging solution designed for laboratory applications requiring high-quality and high-sensitivity gel and western blot images. This compact, chemiluminescent-capable instrument streamlines the imaging process with its automated selection of detection parameters and intuitive touch screen interface. Equipped with a highly sensitive CCD camera and a large maximum-aperture lens, the ChemiDoc Touch excels in capturing images across a wide dynamic range of more than four orders of magnitude. It supports a broad spectrum of laboratory gels and blots, thanks to its built-in UV transilluminator, white LEDs for epi illumination, and compatibility with various dyes and fluorophores.
The system is capable of chemiluminescence, fluorescence, colorimetry/densitometry, and gel documentation applications. Its smart, tray-based imaging automatically identifies correct applications, adjusting filter and illumination sources accordingly. Other features include autofocus with pre-calibrated focus for any zoom setting, dynamic image flat fielding, and autoexposure modes tailored for different applications. The onboard computer boasts a 12.1-inch multitouch display, 4 GB RAM, and 60 GB disk space. The deep-cooled CCD detector ensures optimal image quality with minimal noise. The ChemiDoc Touch requires Biorad's Image Lab Touch software for image capture, while analysis necessitates Image Lab software version 5.2 or greater on a separate Windows-based computer included with this system.
