The BioTek Synergy HTX
is a single-channel, automated, benchtop, absorbance microplate reader that performs optical density measurements of samples in a 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, 96- or 384-well microplate formats. The Synergy HTX features a monochromator which offers continuous wavelength selection from 200 to 999 nm in 1-nm increments, as well as wavelength scanning without the need for interference filters. A variety of read methods can be utilized, including endpoint, kinetic, multiwavelength, and spectral scanning. This microplate reader also offers superior absorbance optical specifications, with an extended dynamic range of up to 4.000 OD. The user may choose from two reading speeds: normal and sweep mode. The microplate reader is computer controlled using BioTek's Gen5 PC software for all operations, including data reduction and analysis.
Absorbance measurements are made by utilizing the featured xenon flash lamp and the monochromator for wavelength selection. The use of a xenon flash lamp allows for both UV and visible light absorbance measurements. The Synergy HTX is also equipped a unique 4-Zone temperature control system, allowing for control from 4°C over ambient to 50°C that ensures superior temperature uniformity necessary for kinetic assays. An internal microplate shaker is also featured on this unit, which allows for selection between linear and orbital shaking modes with adjustable intensities all programmable by the user. The Synergy HTX can also be interfaced with BioTek's BioStack Microplate Stacker for robotic functionality. Common applications this microplate reader is used for includes: ELISA assays, kinetic enzyme assays, nucleic acid quantitation, protein analysis, and much more. Please Note: This is the S1A model of the Synergy HTX Microplate Reader, which is only configured for measuring/detecting Uv-Vis (Absorbance). Please see the Technical Specification Sheet/Product Manual for more information.
