The BioTek ELx800 Microplate Reader is an indispensable tool for clinical and life science research laboratories, designed to efficiently handle absorbance-only readings. This robust, compact unit seamlessly integrates with BioTek’s Gen5 software, expanding its capabilities to include end point, kinetic, and well area scanning for a variety of microplate formats, from 6-well up to 96-well. Ideal for settings where space or budget might be restricted, the ELx800 boasts comprehensive on-board software that includes numerous curve fitting options, data transformations, and tools for assay validation. Its reliable performance is complemented by a filter-based wavelength range of 400 to 750 nm, including specific filters at 405, 450, 490, and 630 nm, and a 10 nm bandpass. Although lacking incubation and plate shaking features, the ELx800 excels in reading modes like endpoint, kinetic, and well area scanning, providing absorbance measurements from 0.000 to 3.000 OD with high precision. Reading speeds are swift, clocking at 50 seconds for normal and 30 seconds for rapid modes in 96-well plates, ensuring efficient throughput for busy labs. The combination of durability, versatility, and precision makes the ELx800 a superb value for enhancing laboratory productivity. Please Note: This is the standard model of the Elx800 Microplate Readers, which does not include a 340 nm filter and does not feature compatibility with 384-well plates. This Microplate Reader is only configured for measuring/detecting Uv-Vis (Absorbance).
All of our equipment is fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
