The Beckman Coulter Microfuge 16 Centrifuge is a microprocessor-controlled compact benchtop microcentrifuge that generates centrifugal forces required for a wide variety of applications. The Microfuge 16 is fast and powerful, providing optimal pelleting on the bench or in the cold room. This centrifuge is perfect for DNA, RNA, proteins, and virus cell isolation with a maintenance-free motor that spins up to a maximum speed of 14,800 RPM (16,163 x g). The Microfuge 16 also features a brushless-induction drive, 13-second acceleration and deceleration to/from maximum speed, an automatic, motorized closure system with a safety auto-lock, an air-cooled rotor bowl, a large display with push-button entry, and an automatic lid release upon completion of sample runs. The control panel, including touch keys and hermetically sealed LCD display, is mounted at an angle on the centrifuge front for easy visibility and access. Runs may be set to pulse, timed (one-second increments), or continuous, while speed may be set to standard or soft start/stop in 100 rpm increments.
The included FX241.5P Fixed Angle Rotor reaches a maximum speed of 14,800 RPM and a maximum RCF of 16,163 x g.All of our equipment is in excellent condition and will be fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.

- Inspect and lubricate the door lock mechanism, applying grease to the lid lock rail for smooth operation
- Test compressor functionality (if applicable) to ensure proper operation and consistent temperature control
- Conduct an 8-12 hour cycle test to validate consistent performance over prolonged use
- Confirm rotor motor stability, check for unusual noise, and assess mechanical integrity during operation
- Inspect the condensation drain and clear any clogs to prevent moisture buildup in the rotor chamber
- Verify RPM accuracy using an NIST-traceable tachometer and perform calibration as necessary
- Check the centrifuge error log to ensure zero recorded issues, confirming system reliability
