BD Bioscience FacsCanto II Flow Cytometer
The BD Bioscience FACSCanto II Flow Cytometer is a benchtop analyzer
providing reliable and accurate results for experiments with up to 10
parameters. The FacsCanto II offers unbeatable consistency and optimal signal detection with increased resolution and sensitivity for multicolor assays.
The fluidics system features a fixed-alignment flow cell to
minimize startup time and improve reproducibility. The BD FACSCanto II fluidics
system is designed to streamline work, save time, and improve performance
through the single-file flow cell streaming, a new dynamic feedback pressure
control system designed to regulate pressure, and hydrodynamic focusing. These features allow particles to flow through the center of the flow cell, and by increasing the sample pressure, the core diameter and flow rate will also increase. The fluidics cart allows for a consistent level of fluid within the sheath cubitainer, while also removing small air bubbles from the supply.
The excitation and collection design for the BD FACSCanto II
optics system reduces losses, allowing for more information collection from
each sample. This system consists of an excitation source with two lasers: blue (488-nm, air-cooled, 20-mW solid state) and red (633-nm, 17-mW HeNe). The excitation optics consist of
multiple fixed-wavelength lasers, fiber optics up to the beam-shaping prisms,
and achromatic focusing lenses that produce spatially separated beam spots in
the flow cell.
The BD Bioscience FACSCanto II Flow Cytometer supports a
broad range of research applications, being particularly suited for rare event
analysis with its high speed, great sensitivity, and minimal sample-to-sample
carryover.
All of our equipment is fully tested to perform at factory
specifications before being shipped.
