The Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 7 Flex Real-Time PCR System represents a significant advancement in PCR technology, offering extensive multiplexing capabilities and interchangeable block formats to support a wide array of real-time PCR applications. This system is designed to enhance research flexibility and precision, accommodating four different block types: 96-well, 96-well Fast, 384-well, and TaqMan Array Card blocks. The inclusion of over 8 million compatible TaqMan assays for diverse experiments, such as gene expression and protein expression, underscores its application versatility. Moreover, the system's intuitive touch-screen interface, combined with automation-friendly features and tool-free block exchange, simplifies workflows and promotes efficiency in the laboratory setting.
Key to the QuantStudio 7 Flex system's reliability are its advanced optical and thermal components, which ensure minimal variability both within and across instruments. The OptiFlex system, which consists of six independent excitation and emission filter channels with 21 filter combinations, allows for high flexibility in multiplexing and chemical reactions. This system is particularly effective in detecting subtle changes in target quantity, achieving a linear dynamic range over ten logs and facilitating sensitive data analysis in single-plex reactions.
For laboratories aiming to streamline their processes and increase throughput, the QuantStudio 7 Flex system is an ideal solution. It supports a variety of applications from gene regulation studies to protein thermal shift assays. Its high ramp-up and ramp-down rates of 3.5°C/second and 3.0°C/second respectively, along with low well-to-well variability (± 0.25°C), ensure rapid and consistent performance. Additionally, the system is designed for easy integration with robotics for automated setups, making it a powerful tool for high-throughput environments where precision and reliability are paramount. Please Note: We recommend performing a Dye Calibration for the Dye you plan on using for your application(s). Please refer to the Operator's Manual for instructions.
