Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & VWD
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & VWD provides a liquid chromatograph offering ultra fast and high resolution separation capability for consistently accurate results. The 1260 Infinity II LC System delivers several ease-of-use features, making it a standard system for routine analysis. With an operating pressure of up to 600 bar and flow range from 0.001 to 5.0 ml/min, the 1260 Infinity II Binary Pump is suited for LC applications using conventional or superficially porous particle columns, as well as STM column technology. Gradient formation is based on a high-pressure mixing principle. Standard or low delay volumes can be easily configured by the user. The Agilent 1260 Infinity II Binary Pump offers reproducible gradients and high-performance, providing high-throughput and fast separations. The pump is suitable for routine applications, with UV or MS detection, where high speed and resolution with uncompromised data quality are required. A two-channel integrated degasser is located inside of the pump, which allows for a volume of 0.45ml per channel.
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II Vialsampler is an autosampler designed for the reliability and ease-of-use needed for routine pharmaceutical tasks and quality control, as well as for environmental and food analyses. It houses an integrated column oven for two LC columns up to 30 mm in length. The integrated column oven paired with a sample cooler allows for temperature control from 4°C to 80°C, all within one module. Two classic trays are included with the Vialsampler, which allows for a capacity of up to 100 x 2 mL vials. The Vialsampler allows for an injection range of 0.1 to 900 µl up to a pressure of 40 MPa.
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II Variable Wavelength Detector (VWD) is the most sensitive and fastest detector in its class. The detector features time-programmable wavelength switching provides sensitivity and selectivity for your applications. More sample information can be acquired in the dual wavelength mode. Low detector noise (< ± 2.5 AU) and baseline drift (< 1 x 10^-4 AU/h) facilitates precise quantification of trace levels components. High productivity can be achieved with fast analysis at up to 120 Hz data rates.
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & DAD can be fully controlled from the Agilent OpenLab CDS Software, which allows for user-friendly operation in data acquisition, analysis, instrument control, automation, and more.
This Agilent system is in excellent condition and will be fully tested to perform at factory
specifications before being shipped.

Below is a List of Diagnostic Tests Performed On This System
- Filter Test: The test moves the filter into the light path and measures the relative absorbance in the filter position.
- Dark Current Test: The test measures the dark current from the detector optic.
- Holmium Oxide Test: The test measures the Holmium spectrum from the built-in Holmium filter. The spectrum is evaluated for peaks at different wavelengths.
- Lamp Intensity Test: The test verifies functionality of the UV lamp at various wavelengths.
- Wavelength Intensity Test: The test confirms the accuracy of wavelengths measured.
- Baseline Noise Test: The test measures the amount of baseline noise drift identified by the detector.
- Pressure Test: The pressure test is a quick, built-in test designed to demonstrate the pressure tightness (up to 400 bar) of the system.
- Leak Test: The leak test is a built-in troubleshooting designed to demonstrate the leak-tightness of the pump.
- Thermostat Test: Evaluates the cooling and heating performance of the two Peltier elements.
- Injector Steps: Performs each movement of the sampling sequence under manual control. This is useful for confirming autosampler functionality.
- 4 Peak Test (Isocratic Standard): Standard test published by Agilent to confirm complete functionality of the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & VWD.
