Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & DAD
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & DAD provides a liquid chromatograph offering ultra fast and high resolution separation capability for consistently accurate results. The 1260 Infinity II LC System delivers several ease-of-use features, making it a standard system for routine analysis. With an operating pressure of up to 600 bar the 1260 Infinity II Quaternary Pump is compatible with HPLC and UHPLC, i.e. handling 2.1, 3, and 4.6 mm ID columns over the flow rate range (up to 5 mL/min) and semi preparative analysis due to flow up to 10 mL/min. Offering access to up to four solvents, the Agilent 1260 Infinity II Quaternary Pump provides the greatest flexibility in automated solvent blending and is recommended for a wide range of research and routine applications (especially in the food, environmental and pharmaceutical sectors) as well as for method development. A four-channel integrated degasser is located inside of the pump, which allows for a volume of 1.5ml per channel.
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II Vialsampler is an autosampler designed for the reliability and ease-of-use needed for routine pharmaceutical tasks and quality control, as well as for environmental and food analyses. It houses an integrated column oven for two LC columns up to 30 mm in length. The integrated column oven paired with a sample cooler allows for temperature control from 4°C to 80°C, all within one module. Two classic trays are included with the Vialsampler, which allows for a capacity of up to 100 x 2 mL vials. The Vialsampler allows for an injection range of 0.1 to 900 µl up to a pressure of 40 MPa.
The Agilent 1290 Infinity II Diode Array Detector (DAD) is based on the Agilent Max-Light cartridge cell with optofluidic waveguides that improve light transmission to near 100% efficiency without sacrificing resolution caused by cell dispersions effects. With typical detector noise levels of ± 0.6 x 10 -6 AU the 60 mm flow cell gives up to 10 times higher sensitivity than detectors with conventional flow cells. Any compromising refractive index and thermal effects are almost eliminated entirely, resulting in significantly less baseline drift for more reliable and precise peak integration. For fast separations, this detector has multiple wavelength and full spectral detection at sampling rates up to 240 Hz. The long-life deuterium lamp allows for the highest intensity and lowest detection limits over a wavelength range of 190 to 640 nm.
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & DAD can be fully controlled from the Agilent OpenLab CDS Software, which allows for user-friendly operation in data acquisition, analysis, instrument control, automation, and more.
This Agilent system is in excellent condition and will be fully tested to perform at factory
specifications before being shipped.

Below is a List of Diagnostic Tests Performed On This System
- Filter Test: The test moves the filter into the light path and measures the relative absorbance in the filter position.
- Dark Current Test: The test measures the dark current from the detector optic.
- Holmium Oxide Test: The test measures the Holmium spectrum from the built-in Holmium filter. The spectrum is evaluated for peaks at different wavelengths.
- Lamp Intensity Test: The test verifies functionality of the UV lamp at various wavelengths.
- Wavelength Intensity Test: The test confirms the accuracy of wavelengths measured.
- Baseline Noise Test: The test measures the amount of baseline noise drift identified by the detector.
- Pressure Test: The pressure test is a quick, built-in test designed to demonstrate the pressure tightness (up to 400 bar) of the system.
- Leak Test: The leak test is a built-in troubleshooting designed to demonstrate the leak-tightness of the pump.
- Thermostat Test: Evaluates the cooling and heating performance of the two Peltier elements.
- Injector Steps: Performs each movement of the sampling sequence under manual control. This is useful for confirming autosampler functionality.
- 4 Peak Test (Isocratic Standard): Standard test published by Agilent to confirm complete functionality of the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System w/ Vialsampler & DAD.
